Holiday traffic impacts
November 15, 2018
The American Automobile Association (AAA) is predicting that more than 51-million Americans will travel the nation’s highways during the upcoming four-day Thanksgiving holiday weekend. If the prediction proves true it would reflect the highest traffic volume in more than a decade.
To limit holiday traffic impacts the Florida Department of Transportation is suspending construction work on state projects during the holiday. There will be no lane closures permitted Thursday, Nov. 22 through Sunday, Nov. 25.
FDOT wishes everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
