Three lanes on Pensacola Bay Bridge westbound open to traffic

All three travel lanes on the westbound (Gulf Breeze to Pensacola) bridge are now open. On the eastbound bridge, the two-lane configuration remains in place pending completion of the tie-in areas in Gulf Breeze.

Construction crews continue to work on the westbound (Gulf Breeze to Pensacola) shared-use path with plans to open it in the coming weeks. Crews hope to have the path open in the coming weeks. The eastbound (Pensacola to Gulf Breeze) shared-use path is open for pedestrians and bicyclists.

As a reminder, the bridge and the U.S. 98 approaches leading to the bridge remain active work zones. Please use caution, especially at night, and watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.

Final completion of the entire project is currently estimated for this spring.
