Description: The Pensacola Bay Bridge will be reduced to one lane in each direction Wednesday, July 21, and Friday July 23 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. The lane restrictions will begin at the bridge approach in Gulf Breeze and extend for approximately 3,500-feet. In addition, drivers may encounter right lane closures for barrier wall painting Monday, July 19, Tuesday, July 20, and Thursday, July 22 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Location: Pensacola Bay Bridge and 17th Avenue
Description: A portion of the Pensacola Bay Bridge will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. The lane restrictions will begin at the bridge approach in Gulf Breeze each evening and extend for approximately 3,500-feet. While the closures are in place, construction crews will be pouring concrete decks for the westbound (Gulf Breeze to Pensacola) bridge that remains under construction. Meantime, 17th Avenue southbound remains closed at Bayfront Parkway. Access to the Pensacola Visitor’s Center and boat launch is open from 17th Avenue.

Location: Pensacola Bay Bridge and 17th Avenue
Description: U.S. 98 eastbound drivers will encounter right lane closures on the Pensacola Bay Bridge Tuesday night, July 6 through Friday night, July 9, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Construction crews will be painting the barrier wall on the bridge. Meantime, 17th Avenue southbound remains closed at Bayfront Parkway while work continues on a new roundabout. Access to the Pensacola Visitors Center and boat launch is open from 17th Avenue. Westbound access to the bridge is available via Bayfront Parkway, however, there are no left turns permitted from 14th Avenue to Bayfront Parkway. These drivers should detour to Ninth Avenue southbound, turn east onto Chase Street, and then continue east to Bayfront Parkway and the Pensacola Bay Bridge.

Description: Eastbound drivers will encounter alternating single lane closures on the Pensacola Bridge Tuesday, June 29 through Thursday, July 1, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Crews will be working to complete repairs for the bicycle and pedestrian path. Meantime, 17th Avenue southbound remains closed at Bayfront Parkway while work continues on a new roundabout. Access to the Pensacola Visitors Center and boat launch is open from 17th Avenue. Westbound access to the bridge is available via Bayfront Parkway, however, there are no left turns permitted from 14th Avenue to Bayfront Parkway. These drivers should detour to Ninth Avenue southbound, turn east onto Chase Street, and then continue east to Bayfront Parkway and the Pensacola Bay Bridge.

Description: FDOT has restored all four travel lanes to the Pensacola Bay Bridge. 17th Avenue southbound remains closed at Bayfront Parkway. 17th Avenue northbound is open for traffic exiting the bridge. Access to the Pensacola Visitor's Center and boat launch is open from 17th Avenue northbound. Left turns are currently prohibited from 14th Avenue to Bayfront Parkway eastbound. Instead, these drivers should travel south on Ninth Avenue, then east on Chase Street, and continue eastbound to Bayfront Parkway and the Pensacola Bay Bridge.

Description: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will re-open the Pensacola Bay Bridge to four lanes of traffic this morning in phases, re-establishing the safe and efficient connection between the communities of Gulf Breeze and Pensacola. Two lanes of westbound traffic are now open to motorists and the remaining two lanes of eastbound traffic are anticipated to be open later this morning. Once completely open, the temporary configuration for the eastbound span provides two lanes of eastbound and two lanes of westbound traffic with no load restrictions, along with a center-lane reserved for emergency vehicles. The speed limit is temporarily set at 35 mph. Repairs to the multiuse path for pedestrians and bicyclists are expected to be complete Fall 2021.

Description: Drivers will encounter nighttime lane restrictions on the Pensacola Bay Bridge, Thursday, June 10 through Thursday, June 17, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly. Crews will be working to restore four travel lanes for the length of the bridge. Drivers should anticipate travel delays while work is underway.

Description: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has re-opened the Pensacola Bay Bridge and the 17th Avenue interchange. The majority of the bridge is now open to four lanes of traffic (two in each direction) except for a two-lane, half-mile segment just west of the bridge’s arch while work to complete final repairs continues. The speed limit is temporarily set at 35 mph and emergency refuge areas are available on the bridge. Traffic exiting the bridge has direct access to 17th Avenue northbound and Gregory Street westbound. 17th Avenue southbound will continue to end at Bayfront Parkway while work continues. Access to the Pensacola Visitors Center and boat launch is open from 17th Avenue. Westbound access to the bridge is via Bayfront Parkway, however, there is no left turn access to Bayfront Parkway from 14th Avenue. These drivers should detour to Ninth Avenue southbound, turn east onto Chase Street, and continue to Bayfront Parkway and the Pensacola Bay Bridge.

Drivers may use the State Road 281/Garcon Point Bridge (I-10, Exit 22) and State Road 87 (I-10 Exit 31) as detour routes. Also closed until further notice is the 17th Avenue/Bayfront Parkway intersection. The ramp from 17th Avenue to Gregory Street (westbound) remains open. Eastbound drivers on Bayfront Parkway should use North 14th Avenue and U.S. 90 (Cervantes Street) to reach 17th Avenue.
